What you will do:

• Work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within the multidisciplinary team, providing strategic, professional leadership.
• Conduct assessments to understand how a person’s communication affects their daily life and provide tailored interventions.
• Collaborate with the individual and their social network to resolve barriers and enhance communication.
• Formulate management plans and rehabilitation programmes, utilizing specialist assessments when necessary.
• Deliver training to staff and the social networks of our service users.
• Play a critical role in the service and organisational development.

About you:

Our ideal candidate holds a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and is registered with the HCPC. You will have achieved Dysphagia Competencies and have specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy models and interventions in acquired brain injury, such as social communication and cognitive communication. You should be adept at managing complex dysphagia cases within an adult neurology caseload and bring a minimum of 4 years of qualified experience in complex case management.
