Job Description

Our client specializes in interior fit-outs for office spaces, offering services such as workplace design consultancy, building assessments, project management, and cost control. They collaborate closely with clients to transform workspaces into inspiring and efficient environments, whether for corporate offices, advanced laboratory facilities, or data centres. Their tailored approach ensures that the design meets both the functional requirements and the needs of employees.

On this occasion, they have won a partial new build project near Didcot. As a result, they are looking to recruit a savvy Site Manager with extensive experience with drainage, brickwork, roofing, structural steel and scaffold packages along with the complex issues that come up with neighbouring buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be the main focal point to the client and associated stakeholders on a daily basis.
2. Ensure high standards of H&S on site and quality control.
3. Take ownership of the programme and be able to adapt with any design changes.
4. Be comfortable managing the digital paperwork and producing reports both upstream and downstream.
5. Permits request and logistical planning.
6. Strong leadership skills, motivate people to perform on a daily basis and coordinate a logical sequence of events on site.
7. Technically aware, be able to interpret drawings and offer solutions to any design issues on site.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, mainly Excel, Word and MS Project.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Proven experience with small but tricky new build projects as a Site Manager.
2. Strong knowledge of taking projects out of the ground including technical understanding of the materials used along with subcontractor management.
3. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or a related field.
6. SMSTS, 3 days First Aid at Work are essential.
