An educational institution is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help students with their transition to independent living. Responsibilities include cleaning, reporting maintenance needs, and engaging with students to enhance their accommodation experience. This part-time role (27.5 hours a week) requires some weekend work, especially during peak periods. The position offers bonuses and is part of a supportive campus services team that values high standards of service and teamwork.
This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter and Refer a Friend bonuses*.
As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll have a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living and ensuring all our accommodation users have the best possible experience when staying with us.
This role is 27.5 hours a week working shifts 9am‑3pm or 10am‑4pm.
This role involves working on a 5 over 7 rota. Cleaning is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis. Weekend rota work requirements apply mainly during the summer peak period.

The University of Bath's Campus Services houses over 5,000 students throughout the academic year and during the summer months, external companies use our accommodation services for conferences, summer camps and away days.
The Campus Services department was created in August 2022 by combining all the facilities teams across the University into one department to support our University strategy, where strong campus services are essential to underpin excellence in education, research and experience for students, staff, visitors and commercial customers alike.
With over 400 staff Campus Services consists of a diverse range of teams including student living, hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering, security, postal services and landscaping.
Since last August we have continued to develop the services we provide in response to the changing needs of the University.

Campus Services New Starter bonus*. In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, this role is eligible for a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation.
