Job description
Who we are:

Who we are: For over 25 years, Global Relay has set the standard in enterprise information archiving with industry-leading cloud archiving, surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics solutions. We securely capture and preserve the communications data of the world’s most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.

Who we are: Though we offer competitive compensation and benefits and all the other perks one would expect from an established company, we are not your typical technology company. Global Relay is a career-building company. A place for big ideas. New challenges. Groundbreaking innovation. It’s a place where you can genuinely make an impact – and be recognized for it.

We believe great businesses thrive on diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all employees. To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.

Your role:

Your role: Are you a dynamic individual, hungry for opportunities to use your superior administrative skills? Are you a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, looking to broaden your skills in a legal department?

Your role: You could be part of a fast-growing, award-winning tech firm – recognized as a “Leader” by two of the most influential global analysts in its industry.

New technologies are providing companies with more ways to communicate with customers, while creating a myriad of challenges along the way. And that’s exactly what makes joining our Legal team – and Global Relay’s larger business development team – exciting, challenging, and rewarding.

Why should developers have all the fun? As an in‑house legal administrative assistant at Global Relay, you'll be immersing yourself in the hottest tech trends and issues of the day. Big data. Cloud computing. Surveillance and cyber security. Privacy protection. Data sovereignty. And that's just for starters.

You’ll be involved in every major aspect of the business – not simply legal matters. You’ll help Global Relay forge new partnerships and grow its global distribution network. You’ll deal with issues related to compliance archiving, data protection, eDiscovery, and business continuity of highly regulated industries.

If you like the idea of working with an established leader in cloud‑based archiving, messaging, and eDiscovery, we like the idea of meeting you.

Your job:
  • Provide administrative and drafting support for routine legal work including business communications, corporate policies, customer agreements, partner agreements, non‑disclosure agreements
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support and manage a wide variety of tasks such as scheduling, mailing, and filing
  • Handle and track third‑party legal correspondence and requests
  • Maintain confidential files and update CRM and other record‑keeping systems
  • Improve legal operations by maintaining a legal library, how‑to guides, reference manuals, and resource materials
  • Look for innovative ways to optimize legal processes and take an ownership role in special projects as required
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree, or diploma in a related field, or similar administrative work experience
  • 2-3 years experience working as Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal.
  • Highly motivated, meticulous, efficient, organized, assertive, and laser‑focused on the details
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet research, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Salesforce CRM
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and manage a high‑volume workload in a fast‑paced environment, both collaborating as a team and working independently to get the job done, no matter how big or small the project
  • Calm, self‑reliant and able to prioritize workload
  • Excellent judgment and demonstrated discretion handling confidential information
  • Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with (and curious about) new technology systems
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic with matching sense of humour
  • Experience with due diligence, technology assessments, and analysis in potential strategic transactions (including M&A, licensing and financing) is a significant plus
  • Some experience supporting a legal team (either at a law firm or in‑house legal department) is a plus
