A major UK property company is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their in-house team in Birmingham. This role offers a salary of £35,000–£50,000, depending on experience, along with a discretionary bonus and full benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for refurbishments, inspections, and supporting investment strategies. Experience in commercial property is preferred. The position allows for hybrid working with structured APC support for career progression.

- Conduct refurbishments, CAT A/B fit-outs, and improvement works.
- Execute planned maintenance programmes and asset upgrades.
- Perform building inspections, surveys, and technical due diligence.
- Support investment, acquisition, and disposal strategies.
Connaissances
A major UK property company is looking to hire a Building Surveyor with 2-5 years of experience to join their in-house team. This is a client-side role offering a wide variety of work across a multi-billion-pound commercial property portfolio.
You'll be part of a growing, collaborative team that actively supports APC candidates and offers long-term career progression.
- Refurbishments, CAT A/B fit-outs and improvement works
- Planned maintenance programmes and asset upgrades
- Dilapidations and tenant negotiations
- Building inspections, surveys, and technical due diligence
- Supporting investment, acquisition, and disposal strategies
You’ll work closely with senior surveyors and asset managers, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of commercial assets.
- 2-5 years of Building Surveying experience (consultancy or client side)
- Ideally on your APC pathway (or recently qualified)
- Experience in commercial property is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to learn, get stuck in, and take on responsibility
- £35,000–£50,000 depending on experience
