Ford & Stanley Recruitment
A renewable energy company in the UK is seeking a Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) to lead HSE compliance across all business functions. In this role, you will establish internal procedures, implement robust HSE policies, and promote a strong safety culture within the organization. Ideal candidates have over 15 years of experience in HSE management, a NEBOSH diploma, and a proven track record in renewable energy. This position offers a competitive salary, hybrid work environment, and opportunities for professional growth.
Gülermak Renewables is a developer and operator of renewable energy projects including solar PV, BESS and onshore wind projects. The company, although recent, has a portfolio of 160MW projects in the execution phase and a potential pipeline in various European markets to be added in the next three-year period.
We are seeking Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) to lead the development and oversight of HSE compliance across all business functions. This role will be responsible for establishing internal procedures (including office operations and site visits) and implementing robust HSE policies and reporting frameworks for both construction and operational phases of our renewable energy projects.
You’ll provide strong strategic and day‑to‑day operational leadership and will be determined to promote a strong HSE culture throughout the organisation through the implementation of policies, procedures, and continuous engagement.
The role is based in London based, with a minimum of 2 day per week on site presence.
Gülermak is a leading international infrastructure contractor specialising in the management, coordination and delivery of turnkey infrastructure projects. Since being established in 1958, the group has evolved from a Turkey‑focused infrastructure contractor to an international high‑end transport infrastructure specialist, delivering projects across tramway, tunnels and bridges including viaduct and road, metro, rail, high‑speed rail, industrial plant and PPPs.
Gülermak has recently established a fully owned subsidiary called Gülermak Renewables – a rapidly scaling independent power producer – backed by fresh capital raised through the recent IPO (Jan‑ 2025) of parent group, a float on the Istanbul Stock Exchange of 12% of the shares which raised ~125 million euros. Leveraging the group’s extensive infrastructure and financial structuring expertise, we are aggressively developing a footprint in solar, wind and energy storage projects across the UK and Europe.
