Brief Description

Network Rail is looking for a Training Centre Co-ordinator to join the team in Doncaster! You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective coordination and execution of our training programmes. Your responsibilities include:

1. Producing a robust training delivery plan to accommodate all Network Rail Training Catalogues and meet annual KPIs and customer demand, in collaboration with delegates and training team members.
2. Maximising trainer and venue utilisation through regular reporting, monitoring, and collaboration, considering the health and wellbeing of trainers and customers.
3. Supporting the delivery of planning and administration volumes and KPIs.
4. Understanding and adhering to approved supplier frameworks when liaising with external training providers.
5. Forecasting training costs against budgets and monitoring expenditure to identify risks.
6. Collaborating with external suppliers and internal teams to provide seamless service to training delivery teams and customers.
7. Acting as a contact point for the central P&A team and resolving planning issues.
8. Supporting with reactive changes to the training plan, including equipment ordering and coordinating third-party trainers.
9. Supporting schedule changes and proposing improvements to planning systems.
10. The role may require covering multiple locations.

About the role (External)

Ideally, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office are essential, and experience with training management systems is desirable. Experience working in a training environment, along with excellent customer service skills and a quality-driven approach, is important.

Additional desirable qualities include knowledge of the railway industry, training catalogues, training supply chains, and training standards, along with familiarity with Cygnum.
