Job summary

A leading NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking an experienced radiographer to join their nuclear medicine multidisciplinary team on a fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave. Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic radiographer to join a large nuclear medicine multidisciplinary team on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave.

The department has 3 gamma cameras, PET/CT and BMD and a wide ranging therapeutic service. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to experience all aspects of our service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of service to patients and their referrers as a member of the Nuclear Medicine Team.
  • Assist in the running and organisation of the Nuclear Medicine workload.
  • Carry out Nuclear Medicine procedures to the highest standard, adhering to departmental protocols with careful attention to patient identification.
  • Perform clinical duties in Imaging, Bone density, Administration of therapeutic isotopes, In-vitro and quantitative studies as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer, Deputy Superintendent or clinical coordinator.
  • Be proficient in the use of departmental equipment and ensure quality control protocols are observed; report equipment malfunctions or damage promptly.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvements and respond to new developments within the specialty of Nuclear Medicine.
