Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits on products and manufacturing processes.
  • Take responsibility for recording, progressing, communicating with customers, and closing off issues that have arisen using 8D and other problem-solving techniques.
  • Be heavily involved in training, mentoring, and the education of staff and apprentices on quality control best practices.
  • Identify defects and implement corrective and preventative action within the team (CAPA).
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive improvements in quality performance.
  • Have responsibility across the company including sales, design, and order processing wherever issues arise or are uncovered. Supporting design reviews and prototype builds.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and policies.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with ISO, BS or other relevant standards with section leaders.
  • Prepare and present quality reports in senior management team review meetings.
  • Subjugation on quality.
Qualifications
  • We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with demonstrable history of success, coupled with a sound understanding of engineering principles. Key areas of competency we require will include:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook etc).

  • HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • ISO qualified Lead Auditor (would be advantageous).
  • Conscientious and responsible.
  • A proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
  • Good understanding of Engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Experience gained in a sheet metal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
