A leading refinery company is seeking a skilled Civil and Structural Engineer for a temporary position in Immingham, UK. The role involves developing inspections and surveys, liaising with consultants, and gathering information for specific project solutions. The initial contract is for 12 months, with potential for extension. Candidates should have experience in civil engineering and strong communication skills.

Our client is a Refinery which is located on the east coast of England in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The Humber facility include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants. This is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom, and a producer of high-quality specialty graphite and anode-grade petroleum cokes. The refinery also produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. The majority of the light oils produced by the refinery are distributed to customers in the United Kingdom by pipeline, railcar and truck, while the other refined petroleum products are exported throughout the world.
They are currently seeking a skilled and experience Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis initially covering 12 months but this could continue after.
- Develop and implement surveys and inspection program, covering, superstructures, stacks, silos, secondary containment structures, drains, sump, pits, road, rail track, fireproofing…
- Liaise with consultants and specialists to develop specific solutions for projects, (small, medium, and large), maintenance and turnaround.
