Your role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Recovery Worker to work at our Plymouth Mental Health Service.

This a part time Role: 31 Hours per week

We have a really exciting opportunity across Plymouth supporting individuals to lead a better life. The team will essentially look at creatively finding new ways to introduce individuals to new hobbies and social network whilst supporting practical needs. The support workers will be able to work in a unique way and participate in activities with those we are supporting. The service will promote independence whilst focusing on softer outcomes.

About The Role

  • To lead the way to a better quality of life for everyone affected by severe mental illness.
  • You will work under the leadership and guidance of the Service Manager to support individuals living with mental illness to maximise their independence and to ensure person centred recovery focused.
  • To help those that are isolated from there community to connect with social groups, voluntary work, education and employment.
  • Support independent living skills
  • Help with guidance and advice around managing mental health needs
  • Supporting clients to attend appointments
  • Signposting with warm handovers
  • Support planning
