Biologicals Research:

Biological-based technologies are expected to significantly contribute to the future of agriculture alongside conventional methods. Microbials and biomolecules will play a pivotal role in developing these innovative biological products for growers. Our team, composed of talented scientists from industry and academia, requires a new position within our Microbial Bioprocessing team. This role will focus on developing and applying modern fermentation processes for producing next-generation crop protection products.

The successful candidate will:

1. Have extensive technical knowledge of microbial fermentation technology
2. Develop robust, innovative microbial fermentation processes
3. Be accountable for scientific leadership and troubleshooting technical plans and operations within the team
4. Provide expert knowledge and mentor other scientists
5. Possess a keen and enquiring mindset, with the ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively to implement solutions
6. Set standards for quality scientific reporting and data management
7. Prepare technical reports, present findings within project teams, and actively communicate within the wider scientific community

Education & Experience Required:

1. BSc/MSc or PhD with at least 6 years of practical experience in fermentation science
2. Experience in fermentation development and scale-up of microbial processes
3. Experience working in cross-functional projects is desirable
4. Track record in leading other fermentation scientists is an advantage
