The School of Computer Science and Mathematics is dedicated to producing research that has real-world application, boasting specialisms in immersive technologies, applications of artificial intelligence, trustworthy computing technologies and data science.

What we're looking for

As part of significant expansion across the University, the School of Computer Science and Mathematics is looking to grow our faculty expertise within the Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Cyber Security. We welcome applicants who have experience in Ethical Hacking, System Penetration, Secure Software Development, Information Security and Cryptography. Applicants skilled/certified in Ethical Hacking are strongly desired.

You will be required to contribute to the continuing enhancement of the courses within the Computer Science with Mathematics programmes, developing and delivering innovative and engaging curricula across undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the school, providing intellectually stimulating teaching while motivating and supporting students in their learning. You will conduct research in your area of expertise and undertake scholarly activities in computer science to ensure our curriculum is up-to-date and meeting the needs of our students and employers. In addition, you may contribute to the development and delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives as well as interdisciplinary project areas. You should have a background in one of the relevant areas listed with a PhD in a related subject and/or relevant professional experience from industry.
