We have an excellent opportunity for a CBTp (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for psychosis) Therapist to join the Derbyshire Early Intervention Service. This well-established and effective service is for people aged14 to 65 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis. This permanent position is ideally suited to a therapist with experience of working with a wide range of mental health problems, including psychosis, and who is keen to develop their skills in a friendly and supportive workplace. We would also welcome applications from CBTp Trainees.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) utilising theoretical knowledge and skills for 14-65-year-olds within the Derbyshire Early Intervention Service, providing detailed CBTp assessment and treatment. In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, you will provide advice, consultation, and clinical supervision from a CBTp framework to other health care professionals within the Early Intervention Service. We are looking for someone with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, with good therapeutic skills related to CBTp, who possesses an enthusiasm for team working and people who have experienced a first episode of psychosis.
Derbyshire Early Intervention service has a strong ethos of hope and inclusivity. You will work alongside an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team, including clinical psychologists and psychological therapists, who are committed to working flexibly and creatively with individuals and families in their recovery following a psychotic episode. This service has teams based in Derby and Chesterfield and your main base will be in Derby. There are opportunities to receive specialist supervision, and a range of training opportunities are available with this role.
