About role

We are expanding our Speech and Language therapy team following new investment to reduce waiting times. Three new Band 6 posts and three new Band 4 posts are available for enthusiastic, therapists to join us. Work across Oxfordshire (including Abingdon, Witney, Henley, Bicester, Oxford, Banbury) in nurseries, primary and secondary schools, resource bases and other settings. This is a permanent, full‑time position, though part‑time or flexible hours may be discussed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Band 4 and Band 5 team members while managing your own caseload.
  • Deliver assessment and intervention packages for children within the core clinical pathways: Speech Sound Disorders, Language Difficulties, and Social Communication.
  • Collaborate with our fluency specialist on the Stammering pathway.
  • Contribute to service improvement projects and the SEND process.
  • Engage in clinical meetings, conference calls and deliver training to staff and parents.
  • Work closely with the Children’s Integrated Therapy team (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, assistant practitioners) and the wider multidisciplinary team in education, health and social care.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
  • Relevant registration or equivalent qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people aged 0‑19 in a variety of settings.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to the Trust’s supervision, CPD programme and ongoing professional development.
