Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in East Sussex, working within an integrated children’s therapy team (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and administrators) for children aged 0‑19.

Provide assessment, review and therapy interventions for children with speech, language and communication needs in line with competency development.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a community setting, partnering with parents/carers, schools, nurseries and SEND partners to deliver therapy programmes and provide advice.
  • Support delivery of speech and language provision as outlined in children’s Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Deliver assessment, review and therapy interventions for children with speech, language and communication difficulties.
  • Rotate across multiple teams to support professional development.
  • Maintain accurate therapeutic documentation and treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide family support and guidance where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist (SRT) with a recognised professional body.
  • Degree in Speech and Language or a related health subject, or commitment to obtain one within three years.
Desirable
  • Mentoring qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEND or similar populations.
Experience & Knowledge
  • Recent community or core care experience through education, placement or employment.
  • Familiarity with NHS professional issues, recent developments and up‑to‑date clinical practice.
Skills & Abilities
