We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Asia-Pacific region. This role will focus on expanding our customer base, building strong partnerships, and positioning our USV and UUV solutions to meet the evolving needs of government, defense, and commercial clients.

The international location of the role does have some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy across Asia-Pacific.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in defense, security, commercial, and research sectors.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain trusted relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights to inform business planning.
  • Running of an extensive in-region representative network working on our behalf.
  • Lead customer engagements, proposals, and negotiations in collaboration with global teams.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer events.
  • Act as the regional voice of the customer, ensuring solutions are aligned with local needs.

What you will be doing

Identify and implement business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services. Identify markets, licensing opportunities, and determine the feasibility of product development. Perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinate with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

What we are looking for
  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales within defense, maritime, or unmanned systems industries.
  • Established network across Asia-Pacific defense and maritime sectors.
  • Strong understanding of unmanned systems technology and applications.
  • Experience working with government and defense procurement processes in the region.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively across the region.
