Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a strategic and dynamic Competition Lawyer to support a global organisation’s European operations. This role involves advising on competition compliance strategies, providing guidance on merger control and related issues, and monitoring regulatory developments. Ideal candidates should have over 8 years' PQE with robust competition law experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to various workstreams. This position offers a collaborative environment that values innovation and recognition of achievements.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of PQE with competition law experience in a reputable legal team.
- Expertise in Abuse of dominance and merger control issues.
- Familiarity with competition law compliance programmes.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement competition compliance strategy.
- Advise on merger control and competition law issues.
- Strengthen internal policies, including dawn raid procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions.
- Provide advice in connection with acquisitions and distribution structures.

We are proud to be partnering with a global organisation seeking to appoint a strategic and dynamic Competition Lawyer to support its European operations across a wide range of competition law matters. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the transformation of the organisation’s global legal function.
- Help define and implement competition compliance strategy
- Advise on merger control and broader competition law issues
- Review and strengthen internal policies, including dawn raid procedures
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments across relevant jurisdictions
- Provide competition and merger control advice in connection with acquisitions and distribution structures
- Circa 8+ years’ PQE with strong academic credentials
- Robust competition law experience within a reputable in-house legal team, covering multiple jurisdictions
- Broad-ranging expertise, particularly in Abuse of dominance, Horizontal and vertical agreements, M&A matters, Designing and implementing competition law compliance programmes
- Excellent communication skills, commercial acumen and adaptability
- A hands‑on approach and the flexibility to support on other workstreams as required
