Pension System Analyst (Calculations)
Job summary
A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a Pension System Analyst to support the maintenance and development of the Pensions Administration System. The role involves ensuring accuracy of member records, assisting in the development of system workflows, and managing data projects. Strong knowledge of UK pension arrangements and manual benefit calculations is essential. This position is based in the United Kingdom and offers a competitive daily rate.

- Experience with handling large volumes of personal data.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and development of the pension administration system.
- Assist in the development and testing of pension system workflows.
- Work on all data projects ensuring timely data provision.
- Assist in production of regular interfaces to external suppliers.
Skills
Role: Pension System Analyst (Calculations)
Duration: 12 Months
Location: London, but role can be based anywhere in the UK
Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)
To support the Pension & Reward Operations Manager with all aspects of the maintenance and development of the Pensions Administration System (altair). To assist in production, management and processing of all data extracts and interfaces and to provide ongoing support to pension projects.
- To support the maintenance and development of the pension administration system (altair) ensuring accuracy of all member records, benefit calculations, letters and workflows.
- Assist in the development and testing of pension system workflows, calculations and letters, including issue resolution, software release updates and change request development and implementation.
- Work with the Pensions & Reward Operations Manager on all data projects (e.g. Pension Dashboard, scheme data extracts, data reporting and analysis, pension increases and Benefit Statements exercises) ensuring data is provided on time and in specified formats.
- Assist in production of regular interfaces to external suppliers, resolving any processing queries. Upload interfaces as required.
- Strong knowledge and experience of UK pension arrangements
- Strong understanding of manual pension benefit calculations
- Implementation of calculations such as Bridging Pension Option calcs, Leaver and retirement calcs and Late retirement calcs
- Previous maintenance and development of the UK pension administration system.
- Ensure data extracts and interfaces are provided within agreed timescales and format.
- Contribute to the development of the day-to-day administration of the UK pension scheme, for example changes to process workflows, member communications and improvement in reporting activities, as well as project based activities.
- To assist in the delivery of all reporting and data analytical requirement.
- Experience with handling large volumes of personal data
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
