The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a sharp eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to meet both deadlines and billing targets.

Job Title – Law Costs Draftsperson

Hours - Full Time / Part Time - Flexible Hours

Location – Fully Remote

Salary – Competitive DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting detailed bills of costs for a variety of cases, including:
• Industrial Disease
• Credit Hire
• Commercial Litigation
• Preparing schedules of costs and statements for trial
• Advising clients on cost recovery, settlement options, and technical issues (in writing or over the phone)
• Drafting and negotiating Cost Budgets, including documentation for CCMCs
• Attending CCMC/CMC hearings to advocate for budgets and directions
• Conducting file reviews and updating case progress using Proclaim
• Meeting daily chargeable time and annual billing targets

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in cost drafting, with a comprehensive understanding of various case types
• Proficiency in using a case management system and Costs Master (cost drafting software)
