About the role:

As the Logistics Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in orchestrating our supply chain operations, taking charge of the movement of goods within our organization. Your leadership will be paramount in fine-tuning logistics processes, guaranteeing punctual deliveries, and nurturing robust partnerships with stakeholders. Your strategic foresight and operational proficiency will be instrumental in fostering efficiency and upholding superior standards across our logistics domain.

Responsibilities:
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with logistics partners to schedule and coordinate deliveries, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods. Monitor and track shipments in transit, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, encompassing transportation, warehousing, and distribution channels. Execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service quality.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers and partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with organizational objectives. Negotiate contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure optimal terms and conditions.
  • Compliance and Documentation Oversight: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and standards governing international trade and transportation. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of documentation processes, including customs clearance and import/export paperwork.
  • Inventory Optimization: Implement robust inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize holding costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Monitor inventory performance metrics and devise strategies for inventory optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of incoming shipments. Communicate effectively with logistics partners, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address logistics issues, working collaboratively with relevant parties to find swift and effective solutions. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in shipments, working towards continuous process improvement.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a dynamic team of logistics professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to maximize their potential. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.
  • Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics operations. Conduct regular performance reviews and analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualification & Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in cross-border shipments.
  • In-depth understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in customs regulations and international trade compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and inventory management systems, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System) platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
