Job summary
A well-established recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a food manufacturing client in County Durham. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining production equipment to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Responsibilities include reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and supporting projects to improve reliability. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a food/FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / equivalent).
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
- Fault finding and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Minimise downtime and respond quickly to breakdowns.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with food safety, health & safety, and site standards.
