Sweep is hiring a German-speaking Platform & Sustainability Expert who can effectively serve both our international customers (in English) and our expanding German-speaking customer base. This dual capability will be increasingly valuable as we continue to scale our DACH operations, offering clear opportunities for progression as the region develops.

As a Platform & Sustainability Expert (P&SE) within the Delivery Team, you will serve as a trusted technical authority, supporting customers through their sustainability journey as they implement Sweep in their organisation. You will act as the bridge between Sweep's technology platform and customers' sustainability objectives, ensuring successful adoption of Sweep.

You will be committed to helping our customers seamlessly adopt our platform, integrate it into their organizations, and achieve meaningful, lasting results. You will do this by working directly with customers or alongside our partners to ensure the efficient onboarding and implementation of Sweep. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers, external partners, and the wider Sweep ecosystem to ensure customers become confident, autonomous users of our platform. As a PS&E, you will speak our customers’ language and turn their feedback into actionable insights for our product teams.

As a Platform & Sustainability Expert, your responsibilities will span across three key areas:

1. Customer Implementation & Technical Delivery 🔧

  • Independently lead customer implementation projects as the primary Delivery Lead, acting as the technical authority and providing expert guidance throughout all project phases.
  • Design and conduct collaborative workshops with customer teams to configure and customise the Sweep platform to fit their sustainability use cases.
  • Advise customers on data integration architecture, tree structure creation, survey design, and automations, anticipating challenges and proactively suggesting solutions.
  • Oversee and undertake historical data integration and recommend optimal setup, drawing on both platform and sustainability expertise.
  • Liaise with Sweep’s technical specialists; as required; for advanced topics (API integrations, SSO, custom data flows), ensuring seamless project execution.

2. Platform Expertise & Customer Training 📚

  • Deliver tailored training and enablement sessions, adapting delivery to suit each customer’s needs, context, and learning style.
  • Guide customers through best practices for implementation, reporting, and data management, ensuring they develop autonomy and confidence in using the Sweep platform.
  • Share advanced platform tips and industry best practices, helping customers drive real business value from their sustainability initiatives.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of enablement materials, drawing on your hands‑on experience.

3. Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management 🤝

  • Own project planning and execution, managing timelines, and resource allocation for multiple customer projects.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment throughout delivery.
  • Ensure smooth project transitions and handovers to Customer Success Managers and other teams post‑implementation.
  • Collaborate with external partners and consultants (as relevant) to maintain high‑quality project outcomes.

4. Sustainability Advisory & Product Feedback 🌱

  • Leverage your sustainability knowledge to speak the same language as customers, understanding their sustainability challenges, regulatory requirements, and business context.
  • Translate customer sustainability needs and requirements into specific, actionable configurations and workflows within the Sweep platform.
  • Bridge the gap between customer sustainability objectives and platform capabilities, helping customers see how Sweep features map to their sustainability goals.
  • Gather customer feedback throughout implementation and translate their requirements into clear, actionable insights for Product teams, ensuring customer needs drive platform development.
  • Use your sustainability knowledge to understand the "why" behind customer requests, enabling you to propose optimal platform solutions that address their underlying sustainability challenges.
  • Stay current on sustainability regulations, frameworks, and industry best practices to maintain credibility and effectively communicate with sustainability professionals across different sectors.
  • Translate complex sustainability concepts into platform-specific actions, and conversely, explain platform capabilities in terms of sustainability outcomes customers can understand.

5. Customer Relationship & Success Focus 💚

  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with customer project teams, acting as a proactive advisor and advocate for their success.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality, responsive, and solution‑driven support throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve implementation challenges, escalating and collaborating internally as needed.
  • Drive customers towards platform autonomy, long‑term advocacy, and measurable sustainability outcomes.

Qualifications 🏆

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business & management, sustainability, environmental science, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years experience in customer‑facing roles (such as customer success, consulting, SaaS delivery, or project management) with a track record of building and managing customer relationships.
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of carbon accounting and sustainability‑related topics, including climate change, corporate climate strategies, carbon accounting, reduction strategies, sustainable finance regulations, and sustainability standards and initiatives.
  • Experience designing and delivering customer training sessions or workshops, ideally on technical or sustainability topics.
  • Comfort with digital platforms and data; experience configuring SaaS solutions or sustainability software is a strong plus.
  • Ability and willingness to leverage AI and digital tools to drive project efficiency and customer impact.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German; proficiency in any additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
