Job description
Overview

Locations: London (UK), Antwerp (BE) or Munich (DE)

Business fluency in both German and English languages is essential for this role.

Working pattern: 4 days per week in the office + Monday or Friday working from home

Disney Consumer Products (part of Disney Experiences) brings the stories and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and 20th Century Studios to life through innovative products, retail partnerships and experiences. We collaborate with world‑class licensees and retailers across EMEA to delight fans and families every day.

We’re looking for a fashion‑obsessed Licensing Sales Manager to grow our Softlines business across EMEA, managing key retail partners and driving trend‑led category strategies. If you’re plugged into influencers, street style and fashion culture—and can turn consumer insight into commercial results—you’ll thrive here.

You will lead strategies across apparel licensing, shaping Fashion Partnerships with key EMEA retailers and licensees to drive revenue, margin and brand influence. Deeply connected to High Street Fashion and Fast Fashion, you’ll track influencer trends, streetwear and social commerce, turning consumer insights into joint business plans, omnichannel / ecommerce campaigns and retail marketing that converts.

This hybrid role is 4 days in the office + 1 day working from home, based in London, Antwerp or Munich. Fluent German and English is essential.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll own key account management, contract negotiation, forecasting and P&L ownership, partnering closely with Creative, Merchandising / Buying and Product Development to deliver breakthrough collections.
  • Own and execute long‑term and annual strategies for the Softlines category (fashion / apparel), partnering cross‑functionally to deliver growth.
  • Spot and act on trends: Use commercial data, consumer insight and trend signals to shape strategies, identify new opportunities, and target partners—staying agile to “win the moment.”
  • Manage key EMEA accounts: Lead relationship engagement, joint business planning and quarterly forecasting; set clear licensee objectives to hit revenue and margin goals.
  • Negotiate regional contracts and ensure stakeholders (global, EMEA and local) are informed and aligned.
  • Partner with Creative & Marketing (and Global Interactive Experiences where relevant) on product development and go‑to‑market plans that resonate across digital, social and retail.
  • Champion compliance: Communicate and coordinate the International Labour Standards (ILS) process between suppliers and TWDC ILS teams.
  • Drive new business: Build and deliver pitches, commission research, and validate scalable opportunities.
  • Collaborate across markets: Share best practice, contribute to market meetings, and translate consumer insights into cross‑functional strategies that serve local needs.

What you’ll bring

  • Fashion background in buying, merchandising, product development or commercial fashion sales (Softlines).
  • Strong commercial experience with proven P&L ownership, forecasting and planning.
  • Financial acumen — comfortable turning numbers into actionable plans.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making: Analyse performance, construct practical conclusions, and implement recommendations.
  • Resilience and agility in a fast‑moving landscape; able to prioritise and pivot.
  • Relationship builder and influencer at all levels—internal teams, licensees and retailers.
  • A sharp eye for digital, social and brick‑and‑mortar marketing in fashion / apparel.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills; forward‑thinking and innovation‑minded.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of local market differences across EMEA.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.
  • Language & location: Fluent German and English is essential. Role can be based in London, Antwerp, or Munich; occasional travel across EMEA may be required.
