A leading engineering and environmental consultancy in Leeds is seeking an Ecologist to join their dynamic team. The role involves conducting ecological surveys, producing reports for planning submissions, and providing ecological advice in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates should have experience with ecological assessments and strong written communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse projects while supporting the growth of the ecology team.
Qualificações
- Experience with ecological surveys, including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
- Ability to produce high-quality ecological reports.
- Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
Responsabilidades
- Conduct ecological surveys for various projects.
- Create reports to support planning submissions.
- Advise design teams on ecological matters.

Due to continued growth within their environmental team, they are now seeking an Ecologist to join their Leeds office and contribute to a diverse range of projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
- Undertake ecological surveys including Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys, and preliminary ecological appraisals
- Produce high-quality ecological reports to support planning submissions, including EcIA inputs, mitigation strategies, and biodiversity enhancements
- Provide ecological advice across multidisciplinary design teams, working closely with arboriculturists, landscape architects, and engineers
- Assist with the development and implementation of mitigation and compensation measures for protected species and habitats
- Conduct site monitoring and oversee ecological elements during construction phases to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice
