Position: Engineering Buyer
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000
- Managing the purchasing of products with operational and strategic procurement methods
- Refining processes to increase efficiency within the purchasing department
- Negotiating with suppliers to maximise cost savings whilst maintaining quality standards
- Managing suppliers' relationships
- Utilising the company MRP system to manage procurement functions
- Proven background as a Buyer within an Engineering environment
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all supplier levels.
- Based in a commutable distance of Stoke on Trent
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Commercially aware with the ability to analyse cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.
- Salary 40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, full-time, permanent position.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
