Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre
Salary: up to £27,500 per annum
Leeds International Study Centre and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University.
The purpose of the role is to support the management of academic quality and enhancement of provision across two centres: Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre and Leeds International Study Centre.
You will need to be organised, with strong ICT skills, an administrative background, excellent attention to detail, and willingness to work at multiple locations in Leeds.
About the Role
- Familiarise oneself with quality procedures and processes used in the Centre.
- Map local and standard operating procedures against the QAA Quality Code Expectations.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of academic quality processes to ensure compliance with external bodies.
- Manage and maintain all definitive Centre documents (e.g., Centre Handbook, Programme and Module specifications), ensuring all information is accessible, accurate, and trustworthy.
- Work with university partners to ensure a cooperative relationship in maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with the production of review documents such as student surveys.
- Produce specified data sets, analysis, and evaluation for reports considered by committees and groups supported by this role.
- Provide administrative support for Complaints, Disciplinaries, and Appeals.
- Check that all assessments have been internally and externally moderated and escalate concerns to the Head of Quality and Enhancement.
- Ensure secure storage and archiving of exam papers and assessment briefs.
- Support the recruitment of external examiners and external panel members.
- Ensure relevant documentation is provided to external examiners and link tutors.
- Ensure reports of external scrutiny processes are received by the appropriate committees or groups.
- Provide support related to quality and standards in the context of the Centre Action Plan.
- Support the production of documentation for course/module changes and (re)approval.
- Assist with internal staff training/CPD and induction of new staff.
- Document themes from observation records and appraisals for follow-up.
- Support the Head of Quality and Enhancement by minute-taking and logging actions at relevant quality committees.
- Support/deputise for the Head of Quality and Enhancement.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
- Foster productive relationships with students.
- Assist with induction processes and arrivals.
- Promote and safeguard student welfare.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Head of Department and Senior Leadership Team.
About You
- Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in administration
- Experience in an academic setting in a student-facing role (Desirable)
