Job Description:

Job overview

Are you interested in working in a team that delivers services to young people facing mental health challenges?

Within Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services in Buckinghamshire we are looking for motivated Social Workers who are looking to work in a great team alongside other social workers, occupational therapists and nurses, all of whom are dedicated to improving services for young people. You may be working in the NHS already, a local authority, or an alternative setting and looking to gain exposure in a new area. Either way, we have a career path ready for you.

If you are not already working in a CAMHS setting, we can immerse you in mental health services and train and develop you within our experienced team. There has never been a better time to join Oxford Health CAMHS, and this post is based in our Buckinghamshire Young People's Eating Disorder Service, where you will deliver a high-quality, comprehensive mental health service for children, young people, and their families experiencing mental health and eating disorder challenges.

Whilst this is a full time role, we will also consider part time or other work patterns for this post so please do get in touch if you have any questions.

This role is eligible for an incentive scheme of £3,500 paid at intervals over an 18-month period. All payments are pro-rata, non-pensionable and subject to a clawback clause. Please note that only employees external to Oxford Health NHS are eligible for this scheme.

Main duties of the job

  • Collaboratively assess, plan, and provide evidence-based treatment programmes for children and young people referred to the Buckinghamshire CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.
  • Take responsibility for an agreed clinical caseload, involving key working and providing therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and maintain relevant and evidence-based therapeutic activities as appropriate to the patient’s needs.
  • Deliver training, supervision, consultation, and support to partnership agencies and education settings, promoting positive mental health and early access to treatment.
  • Work closely with a range of agencies, including Social Care, schools, and other CAMHS teams, to meet the needs of children and young people and develop integrated services.

Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
