A leading NHS Trust in Greater London is seeking a Monitoring Officer to ensure high performance within contracted estates and facilities services. The role involves monitoring cleanliness standards, auditing facilities, and supporting compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical and communication skills, alongside relevant experience in facilities management. This is a full-time, fixed-term role offering a chance to contribute significantly to patient care and service quality.
Band 4, Full Time, Fixed Term – 4 months till end of March 26
To support the Assistant General Manager in ensuring high standards of performance are attained within several contracted and in‑house Estates & Facilities services.
To undertake monitoring exercises Trust wide against agreed specifications i.e. the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS or other key performance indicators (KPIs) and external contracts. To input data and provide reports for areas monitored to enable any remedial action to be undertaken.
To monitor all aspects of the patient environment covering the standards set in the Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) programme. To record PLACE information in report form and use the monitoring software and databases as directed by the Assistant General Manager.
To monitor performance and contract compliance of the Soft FM services to deliver continuous improvement and sustainability to the overall patient experience across sites.
Implement Environmental Management compliance schemes and continually monitor compliance.
Undertake planned and random auditing of the services.
Undertake investigations and inspections of the facilities.
Prepare and evaluate contract variations.
Assist in the review and implementation of systems that will support continuous improvement of services.
