School Maintenance Caretaker

Salary: 15.00 - 18.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Maintenance Professional looking to transition into the Education sector?

We are recruiting a number of Maintenance professionals to work on an ongoing TEMPORARY basis, supporting site teams in day to day general maintenance and site work in Schools across the area. There will be FULL TIME AND PART TIME positions available throughout the School year with varying durations. There may also be an opportunity to move to a PERMANENT CONTRACT within the Schools, although this is not guaranteed. You must be available to start straight away and be FLEXIBLE WITH THE WORKING HOURS, as some Schools require split shift patterns (for example 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.).

As a full time temporary school caretaker, you will essentially be a permanent member of staff and will be expected to:

• Carry out general maintenance of the school as well as litter picking
• Carry out odd jobs delegated by the supervisor
• Open and close the school building
• Work independently and as a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
• Set alarms

• Available to start straight away
• Flexible with working hours (split shifts may be required)
• Fully register with Aspire People, provide Right to Work documents, and obtain an enhanced Child Workforce DBS through Aspire (cost of 47.20 if not already registered on the Update Service)
