Job summary
A dynamic construction company is seeking a Buyer to join their procurement team in Knowsthorpe. The successful candidate will manage subcontract and service procurement, ensuring high standards and value for money. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, monitoring supply chain performance, and developing strong supplier relationships. Ideal applicants will have experience in strategic procurement practices and construction processes.
Qualifications
- Ideally knowledge of construction processes from pre-construction to construction.
- Good understanding of sustainability practices in procurement.
- Must be able to drive and travel to local sites.
Responsibilities
- Ensure contract arrangements protect the business.
- Monitor supply chain performance and financial status.
- Deliver consistent procurement across all projects.
- Seek out and assess new supply chain members.
- Develop relationships with the strategic supply chain.
