Job description
Position Overview

Market‑leading food business require an Indirect Buyer. Applicants need services or indirect procurement experience, ability to manage tenders, negotiations and partner effectively with stakeholders. CIPS sponsorship available.

The Indirect Buyer will join a team of Indirect Buyers reporting into an Indirect Procurement Manager. The team manages a spend of £30m across all indirect spend categories; capex, logistics/distribution, facilities, marketing and IT. The role would suit an indirect generalist, or a procurement professional familiar with procuring services.

A supportive, ethics and values‑led organisation, the Indirect Buyer will be given the opportunity to study for CIPS / MCIPS accreditation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply market analysis and supplier selection activities
  • Running tender processes and negotiations across a range of indirect spend areas
  • Collaboration with stakeholder partners to generate scope of works and category plans
  • Support Indirect Procurement Manager in improving procurement SOPs, processes and systems
  • Contribute to procurement department savings targets
Requirements
  • Services or indirect procurement experience
  • CIPS, part CIPS qualified or have the ambition to study for full MCIPS accreditation
  • Ability to run tender processes and negotiate
  • Strong stakeholder partnering skills
  • Comfortable with hybrid working model — 3 days in Trowbridge and 2 remote
