Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Buyer to join a team in Cambridgeshire on a full-time basis. The role involves sourcing and managing material orders to ensure operational needs are met. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of purchasing experience and solid communication skills. This position offers a salary between £25,000 and £30,000, working hours from 8:00 to 17:30, Monday through Friday. Own transport is necessary, and training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience working within purchasing.
• Exposure to or knowledge of the electronic industry.
• Good working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps and delays in the delivery of components.
• Engage with suppliers to resolve price, quality, and delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate records following policies and procedures.
• Manage and purchase stock levels of production consumables.

Skills

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Excellent IT skills including Intermediate Excel skills

Ability to prioritise own workload

Self-motivated and enthusiastic
