Job summary
A manufacturing company in Leicester is seeking a CNC Grinder to operate CNC Machines, ensuring precision in machining parts. The role requires understanding engineering drawings and the ability to self-inspect parts. Previous experience is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers a full-time permanent contract with various benefits including a bonus scheme and holiday entitlements.

Location: Leicester, LE18
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: 37-hour contract - 3 shift pattern (morning, afternoon and night rotation)*
Pay Rate: £17.80 per hour including shift allowance
*Training will be on a day shift

To operate CNC Machines (Grinding and EDM) in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.
- Operating CNC Grinding Machines, ensuring that parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification
- Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issues
- Operating CMM machines to support inspection requirement
- Previous experience in CNC Grinding is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience in CNC machining is advantageous
- Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
