A local support organization in Hull is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a wheelchair user with personal care and domestic tasks. The role requires a cheerful disposition and the ability to work closely with the gentleman's mother for effective care. This part-time position offers £12.78 per hour for up to 13.5 hours a week, focusing on individualized support and engaging activities.
One Personal Assistant (PA) is required for a gentleman in the HU3 area of Hull. This gentleman is a wheelchair user and needs help with all aspects of his life, including personal care. He does not use speech but can communicate his feelings. He responds well to cheerful dispositions and being involved in positive activities. He enjoys going out for walks, looking at cars and buses, lively music, and being entertained. His mum is the main carer and will guide the PA on how to assist the gentleman. The PA will need to know how to meet his care needs, including how to use the hoist he requires.
The PA role has two parts: (1) meeting all aspects of the gentleman’s personal care needs (dressing, washing, toileting, meals) and (2) assisting around the house with domestic tasks that the gentleman cannot do (laundry and cleaning).
