We are looking to hire one Young Inspector to support the Participation and Engagement team with championing youth voice, and ensuring children and young people in Merton are receiving the best possible standards of participation from organisations that work with them.
The role involves working with the Participation Manager, Participation Workers and Young Inspectors to ensure participation standards are promoted and maintained. This role is only open to those with lived experience of being in foster care and supported by Merton Council's Corporate Parenting service. Your role will also involve working with other teams across Merton, such as our Corporate Parenting team, and presenting your work during meetings and events.
Your role will involve evening and weekend work, as we ensure the best ways to engage directly from children and young people. In addition, the role will involve engaging with local young people to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence all aspects of service delivery. Therefore, an enhanced DBS will be required for this role. For more information contact Sukpal.Uppal@merton.gov.uk.
