Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive primary school team. You will inspire pupils in Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons that develop knowledge, skills, and confidence while fostering a love of learning. Beginning November 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 4 curriculum.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL.

  • Track, assess, and report on pupil progress, setting clear next steps for improvement.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.

  • Contribute to whole-school activities, trips, and enrichment opportunities.

Ideal Year 4 Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 is desirable; enthusiastic ECTs are welcome to apply.

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 4 Teacher.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners aged 8–9.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
