Overview

We are seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to inspire young learners and contribute to their educational journey. This exciting opportunity is at a supportive and nurturing primary school in Barking. The role starts in April 2025. We are looking for the perfect fit to join our team. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for Year 2 students, developing critical literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to be enthusiastic and confident learners.
  • Continuously assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and set achievable targets for improvement.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to make learning enjoyable and accessible, motivating and inspiring all students.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective curriculum delivery and share best practices for teaching.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing concerns.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide activities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school community and support a collaborative approach to Year 2 provision.
Qualifications
