Year 1 Class Teacher – Part-Time (3 Days a Week)

Location: B36 Area
Contract Type: Long-Term (3 Days per Week)
Start Date: January

Monarch Education is seeking a passionate and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the B36 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who can deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Key Stage 1. ECTs are welcome to apply, provided they have strong knowledge of the Little Wandle phonics scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Implement and deliver phonics teaching using the Little Wandle programme effectively.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Assess pupil progress and use data to inform planning and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure every child achieves their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)ECTs welcome.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the Little Wandle phonics scheme.
  • Highly organised, committed, and proactive approach to teaching.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
