Overview

X1 PTHP English Teacher – Salary £26.82 per hour. Roles based at Nelson and Accrington campuses; travel across sites may be required. Contract type: Casual; Hours: Varied – up to 12 hours per week with potential for more. Closing date: 7th September 2025 (Midnight).

What You Will Be Doing
  • Plan, deliver and assess GCSE and/or Functional Skills English learners on 16-19 study programmes.
  • The ideal candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who promotes and upholds high expectations, shares good practice, engages in continuous professional development, and participates in quality processes to ensure an Outstanding experience for students.
What We Are Looking For
  • The successful candidate will have a real passion for teaching English and be enthusiastic about all aspects of teaching practice.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Hold a degree in English or a related subject.
  • Have experience delivering GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English in a further education college, sixth form or secondary school setting.
