Qualifications

Job Title: Workshop Technician

Location: Dambridge - Kent Region

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 38- Full Time (Monday to Wednesday 7:30 – 16:00, Thursday – Friday 7:30 – 15:00)

Salary: £36,954.02 - £44,344.09 (Dependant on experience)

Ideally you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Peel Common, Hampshire.

Salary is dependent on skills and experience. You MUST have an Level 3 NVQ in any mechanical discipline or equivalent. With opportunities to earn extra money through overtime.

As a Workshop Technician you will be required to undertake the repairs to all mechanical equipment arriving at the workshop on a daily basis from our operational colleagues, this will include all types of pumps, blowers, gearboxes and mechanical drive systems. The repairs are to be undertaken according to all the original manufacturer specifications and quality standards ensuring all environmental and operational standards are met, whilst also meeting Health & Safety legislation.

Your Main Duties Will Be

  • To overhaul all types of mechanical assets that come into the workshop such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and mechanical drive units.
  • Be competent in understanding mechanical technical drawings and repairing all assets as per the original manufacturer specifications and tolerances.
  • Recommend possible upgrades to assets and offer cost effective solutions to our operational colleagues as required.
  • Be willing to offer on site technical assistance and offer advice over the telephone to our operational colleagues.
  • Preferably be competent in operating machine tools such as lathes, radial/pillar drills and milling machines.
  • Be able to work in an organised manner with H&S as the main priority.
