Description of Duties/Responsibilities

Mactech Europe Ltd is currently looking to recruit a Workshop / Offshore Technician on a permanent basis based in Aberdeen UK.

What we do

Mactech Europe was established in 1995 to sell or rent pipe cutting and end preparation equipment.

Since then, Mactech Europe has grown to become recognised as a leading specialist provider of the world’s foremost portable precision machinery and diamond wire cutting systems.

Essential
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment at the worksite in accordance with QHSE policies and procedures
  • Work with Mactech Europe Ltd equipment either offshore or onshore independently or under supervision.
  • Operate, function test, carry out maintenance activities or repairs as per project requirements / when required or as instructed.
  • Ensure all relevant and necessary maintenance activities are carried out at planned intervals/when required and to a high standard.
  • Properly document and accurately report all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments, and inspections.
  • Complete required project related paperwork for work carried out either onshore or offshore. Inclusive of but not limited to maintenance reports, project reports, cutting logs, timesheets, expenses, damage reports etc. in a timely manner.
  • Participate in pre and post job review meetings and ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed as required.
  • Undertake internal/external training as offered by the company to further develop skill set/experience.
Qualifications/Experience
  • HNC /HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the operation, repair, maintenance and testing mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience in operating subsea and cutting tools (desirable).
  • Problem-solving capabilities and strong team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate and function test industrial portable machining equipment (desirable).
  • Forklift Truck certification (desirable).
