Overview

Job Title: Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Controller

Location: Guildford

Salary: £35,000 + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm; 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm

We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Controller to join our team in Guildford. This is a key hybrid role, ideal for someone who thrives both in a customer-facing environment and within the workshop. Youll act as the vital link between the front-of-house Service Advisors and the Service Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding customer service.

About the Role

As an all-rounder, youll be responsible for allocating work to technicians efficiently, monitoring workshop progress, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and to the highest standards. At the same time, youll be front-of-house, supporting service advisors and dealing directly with customers to deliver a professional and informed experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Distribute and manage workload across the workshop team
  • Monitor job progress, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Liaise between Service Advisors, Technicians, and the Service Manager
  • Support front-of-house operations by advising and updating customers
  • Help manage job cards, invoicing, and customer follow-ups
  • Ensure workshop targets and KPIs are met or exceeded
  • Uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and service delivery
What Were Looking For
  • Previous experience in a similar Senior Service Advisor or Workshop Controller role
  • Strong understanding of workshop operations and front-of-house service
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Customer-focused with a professional approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Experience with Pinnacle DMS would be highly desirable, but not essential
