Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Placement Officer to support participants aged 16+ during meaningful work placements. You will provide 1-to-1 mentoring, coaching, and employability support, ensuring that placements improve future employment prospects. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in the office, and offers an hourly rate of £17.00.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals facing poverty and barriers to employment, including complex needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with participants, employers, and partners.
  • Experience of joint working and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentoring, coaching and employability support during work placements.
  • Ensure placements are meaningful and improve future employment prospects.
  • Support participants with CVs, interview preparation and job search activity.
  • Complete reviews, risk assessments and outcome-focused action plans.
  • Maintain regular contact with employers to ensure placements are successful.
  • Work collaboratively with partner organisations and internal teams.
  • Accurately record data, monitoring information and performance outcomes.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employability, employment support, or mentoring professional to make a real difference by supporting participants aged 16+ while they undertake meaningful work placements.

As a Placement Officer, you will provide 1-to-1, person-centred and strengths-based support to an allocated caseload of participants. You will work closely with employers and partner organisations, and internal Employment Coordinators to help individuals overcome barriers, develop skills, and progress into sustainable employment or in-work progression.

Role Details
  • Job Title: Working Denbighshire Placement Officer
  • Rate: £17.00 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Contract: 3-month contract, ongoing
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office
  • Location: East Parade, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 3AH

  • Ability to build positive relationships with participants, employers and partners
