Job description
Overview

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a key role supporting the effective management of the estate's infrastructure at RAF Coningsby. The successful candidate will provide administrative support in coordinating capital works projects, liaising with other sections and end users around Station to identify statutory compliance, or to deconflict requirements of routine and planned maintenance tasks. A largely customer facing role, you will regularly monitor maintenance tasks and act on behalf of the end user and support the Flight Commander in prioritising and scrutinising minor new work requirements against the infrastructure budget. The Adjutant is flexible and able to react to support the requirements within the Flight, dependant on the Station and wider Operational needs.

Work pattern: 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Look after all encroachments on the Station.
  • Attend CO's Inspections in the absence of OC WSF and action all works services matters where necessary.
  • Act as the WSF Superuser, managing the WSF Sharepoint site.
  • As WSF IM representative, review the Critical Asset Register every 6 months or at the request of the chain of command.
  • Assist OC WSF with preparation and organisation of site visits, pre-start meetings, Siting and Handover Boards, including confirming security clearances and sorting access arrangements, act as Secretary for Siting Boards, collation and progression of Form 2s.
  • Assist OC WSF with the administration of self-help requests, including updating the register and monitoring the budget.
  • Liaise with Station personnel and DIO to arrange and hasten works services, including HV and statutory compliance maintenance.
  • Act as the Aquatrine Liaison Representative liaising with Severn Trent Services and DIO on all water supply and drainage issues.
  • Any other tasks as requested by OC SSS or OC WSF in support of the management of the Estate.

Pay and benefits: Salary £26,770 with £7,755 contributed by the MOD to the Civil Service Pension scheme. Benefits include learning and development, flexible working options, and a Civil Service pension with a 28.97% employer contribution. The post does not offer relocation expenses. External recruits will have a six-month probation period. Travel expenses for interviews are not reimbursed.
