Overview

Post: Work Placement Supervisor

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Contract type: Permanent

Salary including allowances: Grade 2 £24,027-£25,992 pro rata (£18,705.61-£20,235.41 actual) and £1,668.70 SEN allowance pro rata. Pay award pending

Start date of role: ASAP

Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. Requirements

The right candidate will have:

  • An NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • A good level of English and Maths
  • A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education
  • The ability to support the work placement team and teachers in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required
  • The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students
  • Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour
