Work Package Manager

£29.15 - £33 per hour

Morson are currently supporting the recruitment of a Work Package Manager for our Bristol based commercial Aerospace client. You will be responsible for providing project and business support for Aerospace production projects. You will need to manage supplier relationships, control purchase orders, conduct data analysis, create reports and apply various project management techniques. We're looking for a candidate with experience as a Work Package Manager, Project Manager or Business Manager within the engineering industry. Candidates with Aerospace experience would be preferred but experience leading similar projects on the development of engineering components would be sufficient.

The role is being offered on a 10-month contract basis, with an expectation of 3 days a week onsite in Filton. We can pay a rate of £29.15 per hour PAYE or £39 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.

Responsibilities
  • Manage offload suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders.
  • Apply project control techniques across projects.
  • Assuring that business and project management processes are followed within the engineering functional team.
  • Assuring that internal resourcing and external engineering resource supplier activities are launched in line with the plan.
  • Proactively managing the collation & reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Deputising in governance reviews on financial, resourcing and performance topics.
  • Supporting the implementation of Business / Project Management best practices.
Essential Skills
  • Project Management experience in engineering environments.
  • Experience of risk management, budget management, scheduling, contract management.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Experienced in Business Management and/or Project Management.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal engineers and external suppliers.
  • Agile and flexible in using various project management techniques.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience within the Aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of aircraft development processes.
  • Knowledge of digital analysis and reporting tools.PM certification.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
