Job description

Sizewell C – Lead the Way on Nuclear
Location: Leiston, Ipswich or London (minimum 4 days per week in the office) – optional occasional travel
Contract: Permanent, full‑time

Salary: Circa £65,000 per annum, plus benefits and bonus

Benefits:

  • Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years, plus bank holidays
  • Additional Holiday: Optional purchase/sale of 5 extra days
  • Up to 5% annual bonus
  • Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme – up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution

Role Overview

As our Work Management Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how maintenance and operational work is planned and executed at Sizewell C. You will develop and implement work management strategies, processes and tools that support the station through construction, commissioning and into operations, influencing the future operational framework of one of the UK's largest low‑carbon energy projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of work management processes and tools.
  • Develop the strategy for the Work Management Department through construction and commissioning phases.
  • Oversee the creation of work management systems integrated into Asset Suite.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8–10 years experience in this role or a similar role (essential).
  • HNC or degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline (essential).
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture, regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling and executing complex work programmes.
  • Familiarity with asset management tools (e.g., Asset Suite 9 desirable but not essential), data reporting tools and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to analyse data and drive decision‑making.
  • Proven leadership experience in high‑pressure environments (desirable).
