WordPress Developer

Location: Torquay (Hybrid once established)

We’re looking for a skilled WordPress developer to join a growing digital team supporting a range of creative and commercial web projects. This role is primarily office‑based with hybrid flexibility available once you’re settled.

You’ll work across the full WordPress stack, building and improving websites that are fast, reliable, and user‑focused. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, collaborating with non‑technical teams and taking pride in clean, well‑structured code.

What you’ll be doing
  • Building, improving, and supporting WordPress websites
  • Developing and customising themes and plugins
  • Working closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver new features
  • Ensuring sites are responsive, accessible, secure and performance‑optimised
  • Integrating third‑party tools, APIs and e-commerce functionality
  • Diagnosing issues and providing ongoing technical support
What we’re looking for
  • Commercial experience with WordPress development
  • Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and database knowledge
  • Experience with page builders (Elementor preferred)
  • WooCommerce and SEO best‑practice awareness
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset

Nice to have: Git, REST APIs, headless WordPress, security practices, Agile exposure or generative engine optimization.
