Our client, a reputable organisation supporting local government, is hiring for a dedicated WINTEL Systems Administrator (Platform Manager) to join a busy, professional team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical live service network, supporting a range of hosted applications and ensuring seamless operations.

What you'll be doing:
  • Maintain and support a Windows-based Live Service Network, including hosted applications.
  • Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Follow established configuration and change management policies to ensure smooth updates and modifications.
  • Assist in maintaining network security across departments.
  • Document processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Keep accurate records of network components, maintenance activities, and inventory using appropriate databases.
  • Offer technical on-call support on a rotational basis (out of hours, 1 week in 3).
What you'll bring:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows systems and network fundamentals.
  • Experience running and maintaining a monthly security patching process.
  • PKI knowledge to support secure communications.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise critical tasks, and elevate incidents when needed.
  • Excellent team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desired skills and experience:
  • Understanding of handling sensitive information and maintaining a document library.
  • Experience running environment checks and maintaining network security protocols.
Working pattern:
  • Monday to Friday, with out-of-hours support on a 1 week in 3 basis.
